A Tablescape That is Simply Two Sweet

Two Sweet Party

Walking on the the set of the TWO SWEET styled-shoot, it was clear that Laura McGuire (of Lolo Loves Cakes notoriety) had told everyone to bring their A-Game. We were greeted by this giant, lit sign from Alpha-Lit the moment we arrived and the day just got better from there.

Making Cotton Candy

Photo by me, who found this whole scene very funny.

As nearly a dozen female-owned vendors got to work creating a magical land of sweets for this 2nd birthday celebration, Blake was tasked with creating the dreamy, cotton-candy centerpieces that anchored our Two Sweet tablescape.

Now, I’m not going to say that it’s impossible to host an event without an over-the-top, on-message Feature Table - but why would you want to try when this is an option?!?!

Candy Themed Table Setting

When Laura first approached us to do the tablescape for this shoot, it immediately conjured up memories of watching Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory as a kid. So naturally, I insisted that we watch it on the next family move night. Long story short - it’s not quite how I remember it and my children were horrified.

To ensure that no one else went down that mental rabbit hole, we went a different direction and chose a pastel palette using these amazing, beaded, pink parfait glasses that have been begging to be let out of Taylor’s hutch for years.

The unbelievable dessert trays from Batter MKE, MAC MKE, Whisked Away, Whisk Chic, & Mili Wanka and adorable charcuterie cups from Beautiful Boards by Kali took the whole setup to the next level. Could this table BE any more adorable?!?!

While we had an absolute blast executing this sugary setup, we were most excited to join Laura and her business partner Jenni in launching their new boutique inflatable business, J&L Luxury Event Rentals. We wish you ladies all the best as your embark on this new adventure!
